President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov discussed establishment of polytechnic museum in Kazan with managers of a German company Archimedes Exhibitions. Tatarstan Minister of Education and Science Engel Fattakhov, Minister of Culture Airat Sibagatullin, First Deputy Minister of Information and Communication Yury Bagrov participated in the meeting.

30 young people from regional Kazan 2013 volunteer centres have completed their training at the All-Russian University Koresh and Freestyle Belt Wrestling Competitions. The Chuvash Republic, Perm Territory, Chelyabinsk Region, and Saint Petersburg sent their own delegates to participate in the test event. 4 teams of volunteers arrived in Kazan the day before competitions in order to undergo training and to familiarise themselves with the venues and roles they were going to perform for the next 6 days.

Two bicycle tourists from Kazan, who had set off on a world cycling tour in November 2012, left the hospitable city of Beijing on Sunday and continued their journey to northeast China. During their trip across the Celestial Empire, the cyclists will make a stop in Harbin and travel through Manchuria's scenic countryside to later cross the Chinese-Russian border and reach Chita. The 47-year-old teacher Pavel Grachev and the 26-year-old IT engineer Alen Khairullin dedicate their epic round-the-world tour to the 2013 Summer Universiade and the 100th anniversary of the circumnavigational journey undertaken by Kazan-born Onisim Pankratov.

The Heads of Delegation (HoD) Meeting of the 27th Summer Universiade in attendance of the FISU Family and the Kazan 2013 SU organisers is coming to an end today. More than 120 representatives of the countries participating in the Games from the USA, Canada, China, Latin America, Africa, Asia, the European Union and the CIS were taken on a tour of a few Universiade competition venues.

The All-Russian University Koresh and Freestyle Belt Wrestling Competitions concluded today, April 6, in Kazan. Athletes from 13 regions of Russia gathered at the Ak Bars Wrestling Palace to battle it out on the mats.

President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov has met with FISU President Claude-Louis Gallien. The event was held within the framework of the meeting of heads of delegations of countries participating in Universiade-2013.

On Thursday, April 4, FISU President Claude-Louis Gallien, who is currently on a working visit to Kazan, paid a visit to the Uniform Distribution and Accreditation Centre for the 27th Summer Universiade.

Heads of Delegation (HoD), who were invited to Kazan to attend the presentation on the 27th Summer Universiade, have toured today a number of venues for the upcoming Games. They inspected Basket Hall, Central Stadium, viewed the Track and Field Hall and Rowing Centre, had a walk along the streets of the Universiade Village and even visited one of the residence halls. Representatives of French and Canadian NUSFs were first to share their impression of what they saw in Kazan.

The Europe-Asia international new music festival this year marks a jubilee. The project was first launched 20 years ago and has since been held in Kazan once every two years. This year’s edition will take place on 5 to 7 April.

First conscripts are on 10 May scheduled to be sent from the Tatarstan assembly point to the army, Tatarstan military commissar, Sergei Pogodin, today told journalists.
