A football lesson, a project launched for the purpose of raising awareness about the 2018 World Cup Russia™, was held on September 20, International University Sports Day, at Volga State Academy of Physical Culture, Sports and Tourism in Kazan. The meeting organised for first-year students of the academy saw the kick-off of the City Volunteers programme. 

Russian and Ukrainian shooters shared podium spots in the women’s 25m sport pistol event at the World Deaf Shooting Championships in Kazan. The fourth competition day concluded at the Dynamo Sports Complex in Mirny Township.
