In December 2017, 15 recruiting centers were decided to implement the WorldSkills Kazan 2019 volunteer programme on the Federal level. Cooperation agreements that will be signed in February-April 2018 will regulate the process of participation of the centers in the recruiting of volunteers.

The Moscow center was among the first ones to open its doors. The city is represented by the Volunteer Centre at the Moscow Polytechnic University. The agreement was signed by Acting Rector Vladimir Miklushevskii and Deputy Director General of the Directorate for Sports and Social Projects. Present at the ceremony was as well WorldSkills Russia Deputy Director General igor Superekin.

According to the terms of the agreement, the recruiting centers are responsible for appropriate conditions to participate in the WorldSkills Kazan 2019 volunteer programme, inclusiveness and accessibility of the programme, informational campaigns in the regions, selection and training of candidates, participation in events held under auspices of the 45th WorldSkills Kazan 2019 Organising Committee and WorldSkills Russia.

We recall that the contest to host the volunteers centers was launched in September 2017. Higher and secondary educational organisations departments, government bodies, and non-commercial organisations of the Russian Federation could participate in the contest.

The contest featured several steps. At the first step, the contestants prepared the application documents and led the presentations dedicated to WorldSkills Kazan 2019 and its volunteer programme in their and neighboring regions. Working together, the contestants reached the audience of more than 100,000 people from 20 regions of Russia.

The second phase of the contest took part in December 2017 during the Volunteers Academy 2017 All-Russian Education Camp, and featured the educational programme, design and presentation of the project of the WorldSkills development strategy in the regions of the Russian Federation.
