New agreements with the winners of the Open All-Russian WorldSkills Kazan 2019 Volunteer Centre Selection Contest were signed today. Official opening ceremonies of the recruiting centers took place in Republic of Karelia, Astrakhan Oblast and Krasnodar Krai.
The first recruiting center opened in Karelia, Petrozavodsk. Karelia volunteers enjoyed a number of interesting activities on the recruiting center opening day: meetings with young specialists representing vocational occupations, national cuisine workshops, concerts, presentation of the volunteer center project, and the official signing of the agreements. "Karelia joined the WorldSkills movement only in 2017. It is a great achievement for us that in December 2017 we became winners of the All-Russian contest, and we will develop the volunteer movement in our region alongside the Competition movement," said First Deputy of Minister of Education of the Republic of Karelia Tatyana Vasilyeva.
Astrakhan Oblast, where the agreement was signed on 14 March at the Astrakhan State University, followed Karelia. The New Step Volunteers Center joined the partnership programme on delivery of the WorldSkills Kazan 2019 volunteer programme. Deputy Director General of the Directorate for Sports and Social Projects Alexander Karpov was the special guest of honor: "Students of Astrakhan State University are provided with great conditions for their development, and the best world education, physical culture and leisure practices. I am sure that with the help of the University administration and thanks to the fruitful cooperation as a part of the FINA World Championships 2015, a strong and knowledgeable team will be founded here."
The ceremony in Krasnodar marked the end of the week. The recruiting center was officially opened at the Volunteers Recruiting Centre of Kuban State Technological University. "WorldSkills Competition is a platform for the nest specialists from Russia and abroad to show their excellence. Up-to-date technology and world standards are applied to the Competition. This project will for sure enhance vocational education and develop volunteer movement in our region. Thanks to the informational campaign which is underway right now, all in Kuban are going to learn about WorldSkills! And someone will even have a chance to go to Kazan and be a part of it," commented Svetlana Moskalyuk, Vice-Rector for Youth Policy of the University. The official part was followed by a concert prepared by activists of the volunteer center.
We recall that in March signing of agreements on cooperation to train WorldSkills Kazan 2019 volunteers and open the recruiting centers will also take place in Yekaterinburg, Pyatigorsk, Chelyabinsk and Taganrog. Irkutsk, Izhevsk, Khabarovsk and Vladivostok will join the team in April.
