A partnership agreement between the Organizing Committee for the 45th WorldSkills Competition and Coca-Cola System in Russia was signed on May 24 as part of the St Petersburg International Economic Forum 2018.
Present at the ceremony were Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, General Manager of Coca-Cola in Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Poland, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, and Moldova Lana Popović, Coca‑Cola HBC Russia General Manager Stefanos Vafeidis, Director General of the Young Professionals (WorldSkills Russia) Union Robefrt Urazov, Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports of the Republic of Tatarstan, member of the Organizing Committee for the 45thWorldSkills Competition Vladimir Leonov.
“Tatarstan has extensive experience of cooperating with Coca-Cola. More than once the company acted as a partner for sporting events that took place in our country, and in particular in our republic. We are grateful to Coca-Cola for the possibility to continue mutually beneficial cooperation,” Rustam Minnikhanov said in his speech.
Whereas, Robert Urazov stated: “We are happy to have a new global partner – one of the most recognizable brands in the modern world. Businesses become more actively involved in the WorldSkills Russian movement, initiating new Competition-themed lines of products. Travel industry and retailers show a strong interest. Literally in a few weeks Moscow will host the LogisticSkills Competition, a competition for employees of transport and logistics companies. We invite you all to attend the Expocentre on Krasnaya Presnya.”
On behalf of Coca-Cola, Lana Popović expressed gratitude for the honour of being entrusted to become the Gold Partner for WorldSkills Kazan 2019. “As one of the most high-end employers, Coca-Cola attaches great importance to the WorldSkills Competition. We are happy that it will be held in Tatarstan because we have rich history of cooperation with the republic. We are confident that the competition will be held to the highest standard.”

WorldSkills Kazan 2019
Kazan was granted the right to host the 45th WorldSkills Competition after winning a vote by the WSI General Assembly in Sao Paulo (BRA) on August 10, 2015. The competition will take place in Kazan in August 2019. The main aim of the competition is to attract the attention of society to vocational occupations, increase their prestige and provide conditions for creating high professional standards. The 45th WorldSkills Competition is expected to bring together over 1,500 Competitors and 2,000 Experts from more than 60 countries.
Among the orgenizers of WorldSkills Kazan 2019 are WorldSkills International (WSI), Agency for the Development of Professional Communities and Skilled Workers (WorldSkills Russia) and Directorate for Sports and Social Projects (Kazan).
