On 12-13 November, the Tatarstan authorities and younger people will meet face to face, to discuss problems students are having and to find solutions to them. The 7th congress of Tatarstan will be held. The congress is not only the supreme governing body of the League of Students, convened at least once every two years, but a platform for Tatarstan student leaders to speak about urgent problems faced by the students.
The organiser is the League of Tatarstan Students, partner is the government of Tatarstan and University Rectors Council.
Guests at the student forum will be President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, deputy minister of youth, sport and tourism Andrei Kondratiev, aide to Russian minister of education Alexander Stradze and other officials.
The students have over 2 years cumulated quite a few questions that they have tried to resolve on their own and are able to share with the Tatarstan authorities.
The 7th congress will open with a plenary meeting, the main attendee at which will be President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov. The congress will operate within five areas, Student Self-governance, Science and Education, Social Area, Culture and Creativity, Sport, Healthy Lifestyle and Basic Safety.
Four round table discussions will be held within the event, including Self-governance at Vocational Schools, Foreign Students in Tatarstan and Youth Enterprise.
A resolution should be adopted in conclusion, to define a direction for the republic’s students for the next few years, as well as an action plan for the student self-government bodies, the League of Tatarstan Students’s press centre reports.
