Two bicycle tourists started cycling world tour from Tatarstan Republic (Russia)

Pavel Grachev and Alen Khairullin, two bicycle tourists of Kazan, decided to set off on an epic journey around the world. The tour will be dedicated to the 2013 World University Summer Games in the city of Kazan. In 1913 The Great Russian traveler Onisim Pankratov in age of 25 made the first bicycle travel around the world. He passed 25 000 km for 2 years and 18 days. Also in 2013 Kazan (capital of Tatar Republic in Russia) will host World Student Games (Universiade) and have a jubilee 100 years from Onisim Pankratov’s sportive exploit. We can say that Onisim Pankratov was a hero of Russia in time of The First World War. He died as a hero and was buried in Kazan city.
We can’t passed this two Great events for Kazan and suggested to our sport organization to make World Round Bicycle Travel. The main purpose is to tell to the World about Kazan, our Republic’s sport center in Russia Federation.
The participants are Pavel Grachev, the 47-year-old English and History teacher and Alen Khairullin, the 26-year-old IT engineer.
They must pass 21 000 km and finish in the date of World Student Games in Kazan (the 6th of July 2013); continuously send information for mass media; look for historic facts about Onisim Pankratov (Harbin, China);make film about our travel.
Jeddah city in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, has hosted a "Fitness Diploma" for the first time, run under the supervision of Fitness Pioneers Academy and Dar Al - Hekma University representing the Saudi Side while Kazan Cooperative University from the Republic of Tatarstan has represented the Russian Side.
Anastasia Fesikova, representing Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug and Kaluga Oblast, took gold in the 50m backstroke race at the Russian Short Course Swimming Championship in Kazan (26.94).
