The second day of the 7th Congress of Tatarstan Students began from a presentation of achievements and projects of the Tatarstan Student League. President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov was briefed on the projects run by the league, as well as its main achievements.
League’s president, Timur Suleimanov, noted that youth enterprise was one of the main areas the association was developing. In conjunction with the Mayor’s Office of Kazan and Tatarstan Ministry of Youth, Sport and Tourism, a training course for young entrepreneurs had been held, he said, resulting in the establishment of 6 new business clubs.
The league also focused on facilitating employment for students, he went on to report.
“We have compiled a database of the best graduates of the past 4 years. The main idea is entrepreneurs to headhunt them,” T. Suleimanov explained.
Tatarstan governor was shown a new website for active youth, I’liga. The site would offer more opportunities to proactive students and had been built by students themselves, the Student League president said.
The project would on 1 December be put into test operation but to launch it, support from the authorities was needed, he said, adding that the main problem was lack of financing.
Rustam Minnikhanov replied, saying the Tatarstan Ministry of Communication had to be instructed.
