President of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov, has officially launched the McHappy Day charity event in Kazan. Attendees were McDonalds Russia and Eastern Europe President, Khamzat Khasbulatov, and mayor of Kazan, Ilsur Metshin, the presidential service reports.
McDonalds Russia and Eastern Europe President, Khamzat Khasbulatov said he had in the past 11 years on the McHappy Day worked in the McDonalds restaurant on the Pushkin Square in Moscow and was today doing so in Kazan.
“It is not a coincidence, since it is in Kazan that we implement the project to build a family hotel and it is very important that the project is supported both by the organisers and millions of our visitors,” he said, thanking the McHappy Day participants.
President of Tatarstan remarked on the importance of building a hotel for families with diseased children.
“McDonalds has more than once taken part in charity work and the new project that, we hope, will be completed before Universiade, will be another great gift,” Tatarstan governor said.
The young patients present at the ceremony gave to Rustam Minnikhanov self-made rings, while the distinguished guests had a picture with the children taken and made an order at the restaurant, launching the McHappy Day event.
