Today, Chairman of the State Duma of Russian Federation Sergei Naryshkin visited the Water Sports Palace during his work trip to Kazan. He was accompanied by the Chairman of the State Council of Tatarstan Farid Mukhametshin.
The president of Russian Swimming Federation Vladimir Salnikov visited the construction site, and appraised the prospects of a new sports facility.
Construction of Water Sports Palace is part of the preparations for the XXVII World Summer Universiade 2013 in Kazan. The palace is located in a picturesque place on the waterfront of Kazanka river. The Palace will hold 4,200 people audience.
At the end of having a view, Sergei Naryshkin wished the success to the builders.
During the Universiade 2013 in the Water Sports Palace there will be competitions in swimming, diving and synchronized swimming.
The object will be used as a training base for the Volga Region Academy of Physical Culture, Sports and Tourism.In 2015, the Water Sports Palace will host the FIFA World Aquatics Championships in Kazan.
