Kazan has become the most attractive for tourists city of Russia after St. Petersburg and Moscow

The issue on developing of incoming tourism in Kazan has been considered today at the XIX session of Kazan city Duma.
As chief of the committee on external relations and tourism of executive city committee staff Ivan Kadoshnikov marked, speaking at the session, a tourism inflow to Kazan has grown this year by 5 percent.
On dynamics of Kazan tourist sector development one may judge by the following figures: for 10 months of the year, at the international airport Kazan, almost 1,3 mln passengers have been served that by 21 percent more that the same period of last year. For 11 months of the year almost 133,1 ths. foreign citizens have been registered that by 22 percent higher the same parameter of last year.
Among the far-abroad countries, leaders are (5,9 ths.), Germany (5,6 ths.), China (2,2 ths.), Italy (2,2 ths.),the USA (1,7 ths.), France (1,6 ths.), the Great Britain (1,2 ths.). 746 ths tourists visited Kazan aqua park 785 ths.-the Kazan Kremlin. In total, by the results of the outgoing year, number of tourists and excursionists to Kazan grew by 5 percent and made over 1,2 mln. people.
The most big inflow of tourists grew from China – practically twice. Number of tourists from Turkey increased by 25 percent.
Nowadays, 93 hotels operate in Kazan, including motels, hostels. Presently, construction is under way of more 17 hotels, 10 of them should be ready to Universiade. Current year, 3 hotels, 8 hostels opened in the city, RT Association of hostels is set up.
As I. Kadoshnikov mentioned , in independent rating of the biggest the world website about trips «TripAdvisor», Kazan, this year, among the cities of Russia raised to the third line from 9th in 2011. So, the capital of Tatarstan, Kazan, has become the most attractive for tourists Russian city after St. Petersburg and Moscow.
