25 January 2013, Friday

The seminar for people responsible for rendering services to judges for sports included in the 2013 Summer Universiade programme was held in Kazan on January 24.

The event is also attended by sports managers. The seminar is held under the auspices of the Ministry of Youth Affairs, Sports and Tourism of the Republic of Tatarstan and Kazan 2013 Executive Directorate.

Ranko Tepavcevic, Deputy Director General of the Kazan 2013 Executive Directorate, informed the attendees on main goals and tasks that will be set before them while working with the 'Judges' client group and also provided them with an insight into major standards of performance in implementing the sports programme of the World University Summer Games.

The total number of judges and referees engaged in the World University Games in Kazan will be 2,418, including 831 international and 1,587 Russian judges and referees. "Judges are the second in importance to athletes and one of the most numerous client groups of the 2013 Summer Universiade," said Ranko Tepavcevic. "I hope that together we will ensure quality judging at the World University Games in Kazan and quality service for this client group."

The lecture on this topic was hosted by Lira Gilyazova, Leading Advisor of the Administrative Department of Tatarstan's Ministry of Youth Affairs, Sports and Tourism. Structure of Games-time sports management, booking system, transportation services, accreditation and other services were also addressed by FA managers of the Kazan 2013 Executive Directorate during the seminar.
