Vladimir Putin to receive Kamaz Master team members

The team this year won every prize of the high-profile Dakar rally raid.

President of Russia, Vladimir Putin, will soon meet with the Tatarstan’s Kamaz Master team of racers who earlier in the year occupied the entire winners' podium at the Dakar 2013 rally raid, the Kremlin’s press service has said.

The Kamaz Master’s crews won three prizes in the truck category at the 34th Dakar edition, held early in January. The champion was the crew led by Eduard Nikolayev, runner-up was the crew led by Airat Mardeev, while the second runner-up was the crew led by Andrei Karginov.

The win was the 11th in the racers’ career, while the entire winners' podium was occupied by them for the second time.
