The Kazan’s team at the Big Dances show that won in the quarterfinal has come back home.
Rossia 1 TV channel on Sunday evening broadcast the first competition. Hundred-strong teams from Kazan and Samara vied for the chance to advance to the semifinal and compete for the title of Russia’s dancing capital. The dancing battle turned out to be more successful for the Tatarstan team.
Relatives, friends and fans with flowers, flags and balloons came to the railway station, to greet the winners.
Team’s choreographer, Alina Barilova, said the dancers had not expected such a warm reception. “It feels very nice to come back with a win. We are happy that we have won. I am proud of my team, I love my team and it felt incredibly great to dance with them on the same stage,” one of the girls shared.
The team has a little time to take a breath, since the practice for the semifinal has not begun. As soon as music for the future acts is known, the dancers will get down to work.
Three more quarterfinals are to take place. Two teams will every Saturday meet in a dance battle, based on the results of which one will drop out. Winners will be identified by the jury but two losing teams who score most votes in an sms-voting will be included in the semifinal.
