Vitaly Mutko gets accreditation to 2013 Summer Universiade

20 March 2013, Wednesday

Russia's Minister of Sports Vitaly Mutko goes through an accreditation process for the this summer's World University Games. On March 19 he visited the Uniform Distribution and Accreditation Centre which was launched the day earlier. According to the Minister, the centre offers comfortable services to representatives of all client groups.

"Here you can get all the necessary information, undergo an accreditation process, pick up a uniform and collect a SIM card, which is pretty much everything you need to get started. It's very comfortable for all client groups, i.e. volunteers, judges, organisers. I've been to many competitions and I must say that your centre is as good as any other. And I would like to congratulate the Organising Committee on this achievement," Vitaly Mutko said.

The Minister also gave the thumb-up to Kazan's readiness to host the upcoming Games. "I think that Kazan has done an enormous amount of work. And in an appropriate manner. Everything proceeds as planned. The infrastructure is almost ready. All functional areas have been tested. Quite a few build-up events have already been staged here! But it's not only our feedback that matters but also that of FISU. A meeting took place on March 8-9 and we delivered the Games progress report there. Kazan was highly commended. And it means that we are all set and are looking forward to the Universiade," the Minister concluded.
