CYBL Final: Basketball tournament kicks into high gear
The plot is thickening in the Russian Children and Youth Basketball League as the top national youth basketball teams clash this weekend to decide the 9th-30th places.
The 9th-30th place matches of the final round of the 12th Russian Children and Youth Basketball League Junior Championship took place the previous day in Kazan. Perm's Akadem Basket placed 9th, Lokomotiv Kuban finished 10th, Novosibirsk was 11th and Spartak Primorye came in 12th. The overall rankings will be finalised after the matches in April 16-17.

The final round of the 12th Russian Children and Youth Basketball League Junior Championship is held in Kazan on April 12-17. The 5-day tournament will see 30 teams compete for spots in the final classification. The competitions take place at three sports venues: Basket Hall, Miras Sports Complex and Vasilyevo Training Centre.
