Tatarstan's universities, institutes, technical schools and colleges get accredited for Summer Universiade

30 April 2013, Tuesday

The accreditation process for senior management teams of Tatarstan's institutions of higher education and specialised secondary education establishments has come to an end. Ilshat Gafurov, Rector of Kazan (Volga Region) Federal University, was last to get accredited for the Games. On 27 April, he collected his accreditation badge for the 2013 Summer Universiade at the Accreditation and Uniform Distribution Centre. Larisa Sulima, Chief of Staff and Deputy Director General of the Executive Directorate, took Ilshat Gafurov, who is also the Chairman of the Council of Rectors, on a tour of the centre.

“I think that this centre will be a convenient place for the entire flow of guests to get their accreditation here. The centre will provide people with accreditation and all necessary information, as well as distribute uniforms to those who need them. For us it’s especially important since our colleagues are also coming: rectors from Russian universities and partners from abroad,” Ilshat Gafurov said in an interview with kazan2013.com.

A total of 188 members of senior management teams of institutions of higher education and 25 representatives of specialised secondary education establishments of the Republic of Tatarstan have undergone the accreditation process.

The conclusion of one stage of the accreditation gave way to the start of another. On the very same day the Accreditation and Uniform Distribution Centre tested the readiness of all its processes and systems. The first 450 volunteer attachés received their accreditation badges. The official start of the volunteer accreditation is scheduled for 15 May.
