One of the surprises of this year's festival is that Kremlin LIVE will be a true summer festival. This year, specifically for the 27th Summer Universiade, the event was moved to an earlier date - late June, although traditionally it is organised in September. From this year on, the festival will be held at this time of year. Despite the fact that, as the recent years showed, no bad weather - be it rain or cold - can keep true connoisseurs of contemporary art from coming to the festival, the nice warm summer days will be even more comfortable for embracing the beauty of art under the open sky of the Kazan Kremlin, the organisers say.
A starry lineup of performers has signed on to appear in the festival, including a few bands from Tatarstan. It expected that the festival will be highlighted with a brilliant, as usual, performance by the top jazz musician of the country and Honorary President of Kremlin LIVE (since last autumn) Igor Butman.
The headliner of the festival, Tesla Boy, will be a real treat for progressive youth.
This year's edition's lineup also includes the Horn Orchestra of Russia. It's a group of brass musicians from St. Petersburg that perform in the classical style of Imperial Russia, reviving traditions of horn music performances popular in the 18th century.
Apart from this, Kazan will welcome guests from France - Mustang rock band. And all the above-mentioned performers are only a small part of what visitors to the Kazan Kremlin will be able to see and hear on June 29.
And the day earlier, on Friday, June 28, Kremlin LIVE will stage an unprecedented show - Sunday Up Market, an extravaganza of fashion and style where latest collections by Russia's rising and big-name designers will be presented.
The Kremlin LIVE Festival offers free admission for all to all its events and activities!
