The Universiade chess tournament concluded in the Kazan Equestrian Complex on July 15.
The team of China finished the women's chess tournament with a triumph, winning all three medals. Zhao Xue took gold, Ju Wenjun took silver, and the bronze went to the winner of the Summer Universiade 2011 Tan Zhongyi.
The men's first place was taken by Wesley So (Phillipines), Armenian grand master Zaven Andriasian took silver; bronze was won by Chinese Chao Li.
In the team event, China took the gold, Russia claimed silver, and Poland setteld for bronze.
