The Russian swimming team approaches the FINA World Championships in good shape, the Russian swimmer Danila Izotov said.
On Wednesday, the 27th Summer Universiade in Kazan will end. At this moment, the Russian swimmers won 13 gold, 6 silver and 2 bronze medals. The Russian athletes improved 2 Universiade records as well. Izotov became a three-time Universiade champion, having added one more gold medal in the 4х200m freestyle relay to his gold medal in the 200m freestyle and to the victory in the 4х100m freestyle relay. “We approached the FINA World Championships in a very good shape," Izotov said to the reporters. I am glad that I caught up with my fellow players in a short period of time. I began to train with others since January, when I had recovered after surgery”. Izotov also noted that he had what to train, as mistakes still happened. “We still have what we should work on, I am sure that I have a lot of mistakes which I try to correct in each race and not to make other,” Izotov added.
