US swimmer Twichell wins gold in Universiade women’s 10km

American Ashley Twichell became winner of the women’s open water 10km final. Twichel finished with the time of 2h 5min 0.9sec. The silver medallist of this heat, the Italian Aurora Ponsele, finished 31sec behind the winner. The Croatian Karla Sitic took bronze with the time of 2h 5min 32,1sec. The Russian team included Angelina Borodina and Sofia Petrenko. Borodina showed the 6th time, 2h 6min 52,1sec. Petrenko finished with the 9th time, 2h 8min 30,5sec.
Jeddah city in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, has hosted a "Fitness Diploma" for the first time, run under the supervision of Fitness Pioneers Academy and Dar Al - Hekma University representing the Saudi Side while Kazan Cooperative University from the Republic of Tatarstan has represented the Russian Side.
Anastasia Fesikova, representing Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug and Kaluga Oblast, took gold in the 50m backstroke race at the Russian Short Course Swimming Championship in Kazan (26.94).
