The Spass Fair has this year beaten its historical record, bringing together 876 merchants from 136 cities.

Reports of the fair in 1875 selling goods worth 120 thousand roubles, huge money at that time, are available. A total of 715 merchants then visited the fair.

Reserve museum’s director, Guzalda Rudenko, at a today’s meeting at the mayor’s office shared the results, saying the arts and crafts masters had over the course of the fair sold products worth 12 million roubles, while goods worth 22 million had been brought to the city.

A total of over 100 thousand people visited the fair, which is fair’s another record.

Timber was traditionally the most popular material within the line of products, while the delegation from Udmurtia was the largest. A total of 23 teams from Russia entertained the visitors, while over 200 police officers ensured order.
