Rubin confidently wins against Molde

Rubin Kazan confidently won against Norwegian club Molde in the first match of UEFA Europa League play-offs.

In the first 15 minutes of the game, neither Molde nor Rubin had a single effort on goal. However, the first high spot of the match became the first goal on the 21st minute. The Norwegian defense failed imitating offside. Torbinski made a spearing pass to the center, to Rondon, who won one-to-one against Nyland, scoring 0:1.

Rubin almost scored again on the 33rd minute, when Eremenko passed the ball to the penalty shot line, to Kulik, who shot precisely at the lower left corner. However, Nyland saved a shot, hence the first time ended with a minimal advantage for Rubin.

At the start of the second time, the home team had a shot at the goal: Linnes passed from 9 meters, but the defense nailed it.

The home team could even the score on the 88th minute, when Forren tried to curl the low ball round the wall. However, Ryzhikov awaited the ball and sent it to a corner. In a counter attack a minute later, Rubin shot off right corner kick. Karadeniz passed back to M’Vila, who shot into the box. There, Rondon got open in time to score again.

Rubin confidently took the game two to nil. The club will play against Molde in a return match in Kazan on the 29th of August.
