Head of the republic’s parliament participated in the Knowledge Day celebration and gave a lesson dedicated to 20 years of Russian Constitution and the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation.
The students started a new academic year at a new address: Universiade’s International Information Centre became the academy’s training lab facility.
“I wanted to get acquainted with the academy’s premises, teachers and first-year students,” – said Mukhametshin, - “No other university in the country has the facilities like yours”.
Farid Mukametshin thanked students and teaching staff of the academy for a worthy part in a successful organization of Universiade 2013: “You made a large contribution to the fact that Kazan is now justly called Russia’s sports capital”.
Yusup Yakubov, the academy's rector, congratulated everyone with the Knowledge Day and pointed out that the students of the academy have all the opportunities to develop themselves professionally and sports-wise.
During today’s celebration, XXVII World Universiade volunteers and champions representing the academy were thanked and the latter were presented with tablets.
Farid Mukhametshin gave a first lecture at the new academic building. He talked about the Russian Constitution and the political situation in the country and, particularly, in Tatarstan.
“A good foundation for teaching sports educational staff has been created in Tatarstan. Now, this foundation must be built upon with better educational methods and preserved for the future,” – pointed out Farid Mukhametshin, pleased by the youth’s involvement and readiness to participate in social and political issues.
