Russian football team plays in Kazan on September 6

Kazan receives Russian team’s match for the first time on the 6th of September. The national team will face Luxembourg in 2014 FIFA World Cup qualification round.

Russian and Luxembourg teams have played against each other 8 times before, all of which were won by the Russians.

Currently, Russia ranks second in F group with 12 points after 6 matches (4 wins), losing 2 points to the leading Portuguese team. Luxembourg ranks 6th and the last in the group with 3 points after 6 games (3 ties).

Russian team roster counts 25 people, two of whom play for Rubin Kazan: goalkeeper Sergey Ryzhikov and midfielder Alexandr Ryazantsev.

The match will be judged by Scottish referees, headed by Robert Madden.

The game takes place at Kazan’s Central stadium on the 6th of September at 6.30 p.m.
