Zenit Kazan starts the season with a victory

Marcus Nilsson, opposite hitter from Lokomotiv Novosibirsk playing for Kuzbass, became the game’s point man with 24 points.

Mikhail Scherbakov and Konstantin Poroshin made 6 successful blocks, Nilsson – 5 blocks. Alexander Mochalov was blocked by Kuzbass players for a total of 9 times.

Nonetheless, Mochalov became Zenit’s best hitter with 54% of his attacks being efficient – the best ratio amongst outside hitters.

Alexander Abrosimov made 5 blocks and efficiently collaborated with Igor Kobzar (7 out of 7 attacks were successful), but had to leave the court in the end of the 3rd set sue to trauma.

According to Zenit’s press service, the team plays against Prikamye at 4 p.m. on the 13th of September.
