Tatarstan wins Investigative Committee of Russia Chairman’s Judo Cup

The II Investigative Committee of Russia Chairman’s Judo Cup among junior teams took place at Gymnastics Centre in Kazan on the 14th of September.

According to the Investigative Committee of Russia’s official website, Tatarstan team won the tournament, whilst Noginsk and Samara teams ranked second and third, respectively. All the winners were awarded with valuable prizes.

14 teams of 130 athletes born in 1996-1998 from across Russia took part in the tournaments. The tournament organizers invited the families of the Investigative Committee’s officers killed on duty and of the young Companions of the Order of Courage (posthumous) – Zhenya Tabakov, who was killed defending his sister from an armed criminal, and Danila Sadykov, who died saving a nine-year-old boy in 2012.

The tournament was organized by Investigative Committee of Russia’s Tatarstan Investigation Department, Ministry for Youth Affairs, Sport and Tourism of Tatarstan, Judo Federation and Kazan Executive Committee’s Children and Youth Affairs Committee.
