This year, the race takes place at the Kazan-Arena stadium’s territory at 10 a.m. Ilgiz Fakhriev, Chairman of the Kazan Executive Committee’s Physical Culture and Sport Committee, reported at the Monday business meeting at the Mayor’s Office: “The most mass event will count 20,000 citizens, including schoolchildren, students, sportsmen and officials. Separate races for the family teams and sport veterans will be held. A credential commission will be working for those who wish to participateю The commission’s working hours are published on the Mayor’s Office website”.
Also, a half-marathon for 21.97 kilometers will be held at the stadium grounds at 8 a.m.
On the eve of the event, the same venue will host a cycling event for teams and individuals working in different sectors of the city’s economy.
Ilsur Metshin, Mayor of Kazan, pointed out that there is a good transport infrastructure around Kazan Arena. And since the event coincides with the World Car Free Day, the Mayor invited the citizens to uphold it and to get to the stadium via public transport.
