Kul Sharif mosque gathers first million of votes in Russia 10 project ranking

The Kul Sharif mosque has been given the first million of votes in the final part of the Russia 10 project ranking.

According to latest reports, the Kazan sight has gathered 1,026,500 votes, ranking 12th. A week ago, on 18 September, it had about 313 thousand votes and was on the 18th line. Kul Sharif has since then shot ahead and is now one step away from the top ten.

Winners in the project will be architectural, cultural and landscape assets included in the project’s top ten. Thirty sites vie for the right. Owing to a great number of votes cast, two early winners have been announced, the Kolomna Kremlin and the Heart of Chechnya mosque.

The voting proceeds according to new rules. One IP address may be used 3 times a day, to cast a vote, with 5 sights chosen. To vote with an SMS message, the numbers of 5 different sights need to be called. One message may be sent in the final round. The Kul Sharif mosque can be supported online or with an SMS message with the text 15 sent to number 1880.
