High diving (diving from 20 meters for women and from 27 meters for men) has been included in the Championships since the 2013 Games in Barcelona.

Leonov also stated that High Diving World Cup will be conducted in Kazan next summer. He pointed out that, during the preparation, the river’s bed will be deepened. The water samples have been taken from Kazanka, and the analysis showed that the water quality meets the required standards.

It is not known yet if the diving tower will become a permanent or a temporary construction.

According to Leonov, the ticket sale for the Championships will start one year prior to the event, similarly to the Universiade.

World Aquatics Championships take place in Kazan from the 17th of July to the 2nd of August, 2015. Around 2,500 athletes from 200 countries are supposed to take part in it. The masters tournament among veterans will also be held in Kazan for athletes over 27.
