Zenit-Kazan leads the group. Part 2

Zenit-Kazan won all four home matches of Russian Cup preliminary stage. Kazan team narrowly won against Oka Kaluga on the 28th of September.

The first two sets were won by Oka with the same score – 25:22.

As Alexey Kazakov and Igor Kobzar entered the game, Zenit started fighting back more actively – 25:15 in the third set.

The fourth set started with Kirill Osipovskiy’s ace and Sergey Loktionov’s successful attacks. However, Kazan team started blocking and turned the tide – 25:19. In 9 minutes of tie-break, Zenit won 15:5.

Kazan team won six out of eight matches of preliminary stage and ranked first in their group for the next round.

According to Zenit’s press service, the semi-finals’ and the Final Eight’s host will be announced on the 1st of October.
