Veterans honoured at Tatarstan's Sports Museum. Part 3

On October 1, Russia traditionally celebrates International Day of Older Persons. This is our common holiday - the holiday of kindness, loyalty and respect, charity and love, the holiday aimed at strengthening and developing the relationship between members of different generations and, of course, a particularly solemn occasion and special opportunity to express huge gratitude to the older generation.Members of the Sports Veterans' Council of the Republic of Tatarstan were honoured today at the Sports Museum of the Republic of Tatarstan. The event was held on behalf of the Kazan 2013 Executive Directorate.
Activists of the republican sports movement received heartfelt congratulations and were given Universiade uniforms as a gift. The event was attended by such famous athletes and coaches as N.F. Gilyazeva and O.N. Knyazeva, champions of the 21st Olympic Games in Montreal; Master of Sport International Class in Road Cycling V.A. Rebrovskaya; repeat champion and medal winner of the USSR, Europe and world A.V. Plyushkin, Honoured Coach of the RSFSR and certified International Judge (basketball) L.F. Arslanov and many others.

Jeddah city in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, has hosted a "Fitness Diploma" for the first time, run under the supervision of Fitness Pioneers Academy and Dar Al - Hekma University representing the Saudi Side while Kazan Cooperative University from the Republic of Tatarstan has represented the Russian Side.
Anastasia Fesikova, representing Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug and Kaluga Oblast, took gold in the 50m backstroke race at the Russian Short Course Swimming Championship in Kazan (26.94).
