Neftekhimik defeats Salavat Yulaev, losing 0:3 in the second period. Part 2

Neftekhimik Nizhnekamsk won against Salavat Yulaev Ufa in the home match of KHL championship.

The game started with unjustifiable mistakes, uncharacteristic for Nizhnekamsk team. First seconds’ line change mistake led to two-to-one game and Nikita Filatov’s goal. In the end of the first period Igor Polygalov made a mistake in his zone and Alexander Mereskin scored the second goal. After the break, Alexey Glukhov shot from the goalmouth – 0:3.

In just 13 minutes, the home team turned the tide as Berezin, Koukal and Taratukhin scored goals.

On the 51st minute, the guest team remained short-handed, and Vladimir Krikunov took time-out. However, the victory just got postponed to overtime. Kirill Koltsov got penalty for slashing opponent’s hands, and Mikhail Anisin made use of powerplay – 4:3.
