Ak Bars Kazan lost at home for the first time this season, playing against SKA St Petersburg at Tatneft-Arena.
The start of the championship was great for SKA that came to Kazan already sharing the first place in the tournament table with Barys Astana.
SKA players allowed Ak Bars to come very closely to their net, but their goalkeeper and dedicated defense saved them from goals. Despite Barulin’s confident game, he conceded a goal from ex-Ak Bars player Evgeny Skachkov in the second period.
