The grand welcome ceremony for the Sochi 2014 Olympic Flame was held on October 6 in Red Square, Moscow. Russian President Vladimir Putin lit a celebration cauldron to mark the start of the Olympic Torch Relay. After that, ten Torchbearers ran with the Olympic Flame around the grounds of Moscow's Kremlin and the Alexander Garden.
