Russian team, composed of players born in 1995 or younger, needs to rank first or second in the group to enter the second qualifying round.
The elite qualifying stage starts in spring, 2014, involving 28 national teams. Winners of seven qualification groups will compete at the championship’s final stage in Hungary in 2014.
Russian team starts with a match against Malta at Rubin stadium at 7 p.m. on the 10th of October, after the opening ceremony at the same venue.
This year, Russian junior team competed at three international tournaments, winning Granatkin Memorial in St Petersburg and Slovakia Cup in Trencin, whilst ranking third at Japan tournament in Shizuoka.
