11 October 2013, Friday

What are your impressions on test competitions at Olympic venues?

N.N.: We tested the hills and stayed at Sochi for several days this summer, advising the construction workers how to improve the infrastructure around the hills.

The best thing about Russkiye Gorki (“Russian Hills”) complex in Sochi is the fact that the Nordic combined ski run is situated close to the hill; it is easier to move between them. Also, it will facilitate following the competition for the fans. And surely, the hills are up-to-date, the complex can host competitions in any weather conditions. For example, the latest tournament was held when it was +17°C.

The ski run is very difficult, you need a special training, and we are currently working on it. It is quite different from the World Cup stages’ run. Those who watch the Olympics will see that it is very interesting and difficult for the athletes.
