The song – which is performed by Russian singers Elka and Anton Mishenin, of the band Kasta – will be played in each of the 2,900 towns and villages hosting Olympic Torch Relay celebrations.
It was performed for the first time in Moscow's Red Square, where the Olympic flame was presented to the Russian public, following its arrival from Greece.
Andrey Belyaev, Andrey Shalimov and Anton Mishenin wrote the song’s lyrics, while Evgeniy Bardachenko composed the music. According to the writers, the official song of the Sochi 2014 Olympic Torch Relay expresses people's desire to be proud of their country while uniting under the Olympic rings for the Winter Games. Elka and Anton Mishenin have also called upon everyone to reach for their dreams and strive to make them come true, as demonstrated by each of the 14,000 torchbearers who will take part in the Sochi 2014 Olympic Torch Relay.
