24 October 2013, Thursday

There is an intriguing clash in the Europa League on Thursday night as Wigan welcome Rubin Kazan to the DW Stadium (BT Sport, 8.05pm). Both teams are unbeaten in Group D after two games as Wigan earned a creditable 0-0 draw with Waregem and beat Maribor 3-1, while free-scoring Rubin have hammered Maribor 5-2 and Waregem 4-0 in their group games.

The bookmakers are struggling to choose between the two sides for their upcoming meeting though and it is Rubin who are marginal favourites. The Russian side are an impressive, technical outfit and they can be backed at a 13/10 to make it three wins from three with Coral, while Wigan are 2/1 and the draw can be backed at 12/5.
