Wigan v Rubin Kazan Odds: Russian side start favourites at the DW Stadium. Part 2

24 October 2013, Thursday

This fixture should make for a very decent atmosphere at the DW Stadium, where Wigan have been quietly impressive this term. Owen Coyle's men, who were relegated from the Premier League last season, have won four and drawn two of their last six home games in all competitions but they are still struggling to juggle a European campaign with the demands of their domestic league.

The Latics are currently 13th in the Championship and the games are starting to build up for them. They have earned an impressive four points in the Europa League but this clash with Rubin promises to be a step up from what they have faced before as the Russian team have won all eight of their European games (including qualifiers) this season, scoring 22 and conceding just five in the process.
