According to the Russian Hockey Federation's press service, the team counts 3 goalies, 8 defenders and 17 forwards.
Among those 28 hockey players 8 represent Ak Bars Kazan: goalkeeper Konstantin Barulin, defenders Ilya Nikulin and Evgeny Medvedev, forwards Alexander Burmistrov, Mikhail Varnakov, Kirill Petrov, Alexander Svitov and Alexey Tereshchenko.
