Kazan to host Russian Short Course Swimming Championship. Part 1

he Russian Short Course Swimming Championship will be held in Kazan on November 15-19, 2013. The tournament will take place in a short course (25m) pool of the Aquatics Palace.

Nearly 500 swimmers and 100 team officials from 56 regions of the Russian Federation are expected to take part in the competition. 50 judges, 15 of them are from Tatarstan, will officiate the tournament. This swimming event is a qualifier for the European Short Course Swimming Championships in Herning (Denmark) and Russia’s best swimmers will gather in Kazan. The tournament opening will take place in the Aquatics Palace on November 15. The ceremony will be attended by Tatarstan’s leadership and Vladimir Salnikov, President of the Russian Swimming Federation, FINA Bureau member and four-time Olympic champion.
