Mayor of Kazan says thank you for making Universiade a success. Part 1
Mayor of the city of Kazan, Ilsur Metshin, met today with employees of municipal organisations and departments, enterprises involved in various spheres of activity and representatives of businesses and recognised them for their special contribution to the preparation and staging of the 27th World University Summer Games. Staff of the Kazan 2013 Executive Directorate were also awarded by the mayor.
Welcoming participants of the awards ceremony in the City Hall of Kazan, Ilsur Metshin noted that despite the difference in their positions and responsibilities, the team is united through joint efforts and the common purpose of delivering the best Summer Universiade in the history of university sports movement. The mayor said that representatives from various departments and branches of business were involved in tremendous work carried out in the preparation for the Games over the last 5 years.
