Russia-Turkey Public Forum meeting underway in Kazan. Part 5

Rossotrudnichestvo agency chief and forum’s Russian party chairman, Konstantin Kosachev, cited a public opinion poll, held to find out how Turks perceived Russians and Russians did Turks. Sixty six percent of the Turkey nationals had a rather negative attitude to Russia, while Russia had a completely different perception of Turkey. The discrepancy, said K. Kosachev, needed to be analysed, including by the forum, to make Russia-Turkey relations as friendly as possible.
