Nadezhda Vinyukova of Moscow earned title in the women's 50m backstroke event (27.43), finishing 0.05 seconds ahead of her teammate, Aleksandra Papusha, and 0.1 seconds ahead of Daria Ustinova of the Sverdlovsk Oblast.
Moscow's Rozalia Nasretdinova took gold in the women's 50m freestyle (24.27). Svetlana Knyaginina of St. Petersburg and Maria Reznikov of Moscow shared second place (24.61)
"I'm very glad that I was able to win my first individual gold at these competitions. Unfortunately, I failed to break the record of Russia. Apparently I got too nervous before the heat. In general, I'm satisfied with my performance at this tournament - each of the events I swam was my personal best," said Rozalia Nasretdinova.
