Sergey Fesikov won gold in the 100m individual medley (52.33), followed by Moscow's Aleksey Atsapkin (53.83) and St. Petersburg's Andrey Shabasov (54.02).
"I'm very pleased with my result in the 100m freestyle. It was an interesting head-to-head race, and hundredths of a second decided the outcome. The 100m medley was held 15 minutes later, so I had little time to recover and got tired in the end. But I still showed a decent result. Now I will be looking forward to the European Championships; there I will compete with Volodya Morozov. He plans to break the national record, but I intend not to let him do it," said Sergey Fesikov .
