The Games were record-breaking in many respects, primarily in terms of the global community's interest in the event. Thus, the Universiade competitions were attended by more than 800,000 people, at the Games time there were more than 300,000 unique user posts about the Universiade in social networks and blogs, the total TV audience of the Games reached 3 billion viewers, including more than 1 billion people who watched the Universiade Opening and Closing Ceremonies .
