Shibalov’s crew finishes first, ranks second. Part 2

Today, the second stage of Dakar-2014 rally concluded in Argentina, covering 400 km of special stage.

Anton Shibalov’s crew crossed the finish line first. However, Gerard De Rooy’s crew was later compensated 22 minutes for helping Ayrat Mardeyev whose truck got turned sideways as the ground fell through under it. The crew was unharmed, but the vehicle had to be pulled up to wait for the technical help.

Hence, Shibalov’s crew ranked second, yielding 13 minutes 20 seconds to De Rooy, whilst Marcel Van Vliet came third.

Andrey Karginov ended up on the sixth place, followed by Dmitry Sotnikov. Eduard Nikolaev finished eighth with 5 minutes penalty and yielding 26 minutes 50 seconds to the leader.

After two stages, Gerard De Rooy ranks first, followed by Marcel Van Vliet and Anton Shibalov on the third place. Eduard Nikolaev’s crew ranks fifth.
