Karginov’s crew shows the best time at Dakar’s third stage. Part 2

Andrey Karginov’s crew showed the best time on the stage despite the pilot’s fever. Gereard De Rooy came second, yielding 2 minutes 42 seconds to the leader, followed by Ales Loprais’ crew.

Eduard Nikolaev was the 12th to cross the finish line, Anton Shibalov – the 13th, Dmitry Sotnikov – the 14th.

Mardeev’s crew was not allowed to participate in the third stage. Due to the accident on the second stage, the truck’s GPS turned off. The rally’s regulations forbid switching it off during the race, so the crew was not allowed to return to the rally. Hence, only four KAMAZ crews keep competing.

After three stages, Gerard De Rooy remains in the lead, followed by Marcel Van Vliet. Andrey Karginov ranks third, yielding 39 minutes 10 seconds to the leader.

Shibalov and Nikolaev are on the sixth and the seventh place, respectively, whilst Dmitry Sotnikov’s technical truck ranks 13th.
