Dinamo Kazan defeats Ufimochka in the first match of the year. Part 3

The Championship’s outsider did not play shyly against the leader, and the guest team was leading 13:16 in the first set due to Maria Samoylova and Lyubov Pronina’s efforts. Maria Borodakova bridged the gap immediately after the break – 16:16. Ekaterina Gamova made four successful attacks in a row, but the opponents did not fall behind – 22:22. However, Gamova was persistant, and Dinamo won the first set – 26:24.

Antonella Del Core made a lot of mistakes and started scoring only in the second set when Alina Bershakova failed to return her serve – 4:2. The Italian’s next serves coincided with Kazan club’s +4 dash. Next, Gamova’s four aces turned the score to 19:12. Borodakova and Del Core finished the opponents off – 25:15.

Ufimochka had problems with returning the serves in the third set. After Borodakova’s serves, Dinamo was leading 9:4. Gamova played against Bershakova on returns, and the home team gained a serious advantage -17:8. Jordan Larson became the second player to score over 10 points at that match, whilst Borodakova boasted 8 points for 8 hits. Kazan club won 25:13, whitewashing the opponents in the overall score – 3:0.

Ekaterina Gamova scored 20 points, becoming the most efficient player of the game with 6 aces, 13 attacks and 1 block.
